Blue Sage Capital has hired Jonathan Pearce as a Senior Associate. In his new position he will be responsible for deal sourcing, evaluating, structuring, due diligence, financial modeling, and portfolio company monitoring.
Mr. Pearce joins Blue Sage after four years with Avista Capital Partners where he focused on the evaluation and execution of investments in the energy sector. Prior to Avista, Mr. Pearce spent two years at Credit Suisse in their energy investment banking group and one year at JPMorgan in its private bank. He is a graduate of the University of Texas where he earned a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Minor in Finance.
“Jonathan’s extensive experience in the energy industry as well as his analytical and valuation skill set will allow him to contribute immediately as Blue Sage seeks to invest our second fund,” said Peter Huff, Blue Sage Co-Founder and Managing Member. Blue Sage Capital had a final closing of its oversubscribed second fund, Blue Sage Capital II, L.P. in December 2012 with capital commitments of $150 million, above the $100 million target size.
