Professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has expanded its Valuation Services practice to Dallas with the addition of James Massey as a managing director.

As our clients are continually looking to us for guidance on the business, regulatory and accounting issues underpinning valuation, we are pleased to expand our national footprint to the Dallas market with the addition of Jim, who brings to bear a wealth of experience in several complex areas,” said John O’Neill, national practice leader of A&M Valuation Services.
Mr. Massey brings to Alvarez & Marsal alternative investment experience having advised equity sponsor groups and hedge funds around the country. He has more than 23 years of experience providing investment banking services, including financial valuation and mergers and acquisition advisory to both public and private companies. Mr. Massey has worked across a range of industries, including energy, real estate, telecommunications, food and media.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Massey was a managing director and city leader for Duff & Phelps where he provided financial advisory services to a variety of clients. Previously, he was the founder, director and head of the Dallas office of Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin, and a vice president at Goldman Sachs & Company.
