Cascade Partners has hired Mac Gerlach as a new Managing Director. Mr. Gerlach brings more than 15 years of transaction, investment and operations experience to Cascade Partners. He will work alongside Cascade’s existing team in sourcing and executing transactions both on the private investment and the investment banking sides of the firm.

Mr. Gerlach has experience across a range of merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions and also experience across the capitalization structure including senior debt, venture debt, mezzanine debt and equity investments. Prior to joining Cascade Partners, Mr. Gerlach was a co-founder of Expedition Capital Partners. Additionally, he has held transaction and investment positions at Hercules Technology Growth Capital, TriplePoint Capital, NewStar Financial, Fundamental Capital, Morgan Stanley, and Salomon Smith Barney. His operating experience includes roles at Thios Pharmaceuticals and Aviron Vaccines. Mr. Gerlach received his MBA from the University of California’s Haas School of Business and earned a BS in Chemistry and Cellular/Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.
